Cheap entertainment...

can be found at a Laundromat near you.

Once or twice a year the boys and I go to the Laundromat to wash sleeping bags or extra dirty work clothes from Chuck. Usually there are others washing also, today was an exception. We put our sleeping bags in to wash and I settled down in a chair. The boys immediately began playing a game. They pushed one another in the large metal baskets intended for laundry. They called the first game survivor. They had to open as many washers with one hand while being pushed down the row. The second game was tag. One person pushed the other and had to tag the person from the other team who was riding in the basket. It digressed from there, as play with four boys always does, to bumper baskets. I put a stop to it when a basket was slightly dented! The whole time they were playing I couldn't believe I was allowing what was going on. I reasoned that they weren't annoying me, nothing was being damaged (until the bumperbaskets), patrons weren't being disturbed, and they were getting along. What more could a mother ask for? I think we'll go to the Laundromat more often.
