at Yankee Stadium, like any other community of people, has its own culture. First, you are prohibited from entering the rest of Yankee Stadium. Why you ask? The Bleachers are alcohol free. Mind you this doesn't mean they are four letter language free. We had a row of miseducated young men sitting a few rows behind us. Our boys received quite an education. I mentioned to each of them that I would fork their tongue with a pair of scissors if they used that kind of language. Fortunately, my children get my sense of humor and know that I won't really fork their tongue, rather I meant that I would be very disappointed with them.
(Luke's first footlong hot dog! Yes, that is a Phillies cap on his head. We bought him a Yankee hat by the nights end)

Besides being cut off from the rest of the stadium The Bleachers has a very cool culture. The first inning when the Yanks take the field, the fans chant a players name until the player acknowledges them. They go through until each player has been addressed. Very fun! Also, a few newbies wanted to start the wave in The Bleachers. The regulars in The Bleachers are WAY, WAY to cool to do the wave. They kept telling the young man who wanted to start the wave (same said young man with potty mouth) to go to Shea Stadium and wave goodbye to us on his way out.
We sat near many people with season or partial season tickets. This was a great way to learn the mores of The Bleachers.
When we first arrived we felt cheated to be in The Bleachers, but by the time we left we felt honored to be a part of history in The Bleacher culture. VERY COOL!!

Happy to be in Yankee Stadium amid the crowd and the low roar- Zack, Wesley, Clay and Luke
