In the middle of the afternoon...

Chuck and I, went up to our room and...watched last weeks Survivor.

Sorry to disappoint you!

It actually seemed WRONG. I should have been doing the laundry, starting dinner, vacuuming the house, going to the post office and any number of other chores that needed to be done. Instead...yes, we watched TV.

For those who don't know I'm a Survivor and Amazing Race addict. Well, addict is a little strong. I haven't watched any of this season's Amazing Race, it's on Sunday nights during life group. I do tape Survivor on Thursdays while I'm at college and I usually watch it when I get home. This week was too crazy.

Tonight Chuck plans to get the kiddos in bed by the time I get home at 9pm so we can watch this weeks Survivor, this week. It's nice having some down time with him. There's a huge difference in the amount of down time between his previous job and this one. This one is allowing for more family time, and more time for the two of us, that's not squeezed or rushed by all the other things that had to be done in his day and half off (one of which was Sunday. Sunday is not a day of relaxation if you're a Christian). Now he has seven whole days off in a row. It's not perfect. I know many of you wouldn't stand for it, but we work with it. I have to admit there were some stressful moments between the boys and I the last two weeks he was gone. But, prayer is what got us through it and I believe God has a plan for us.

God's revealing his plan for Chuck, and He's already using him. The men notice that Chuck's not like them. Often times co-workers can't believe the kind of person he is. I believe it's because they've never met anyone like him. Sometimes they intentionally set him up to see if they can make him stumble. Keep him in your prayers as he faces living in the world so much more than some of you can even imagine.

Thanks to so many of you who have already told us that you're praying for us, I know the last two weeks could have been so much more stressful without your faithful prayers!

God,
You are our Heavenly Father and You are omnipresent. I praise You for who you are and what You can do. You are with Chuck when he is out there on the boat. You are with Andrea and the boys at home or at school. You are with them when the whole family is together. I ask for your Holy Spirit presence in, around, and through them. I ask for ministering spirits to help care for their needs. Thank you Father for listening and answering. Because of JESUS, amen.

Patti,

Thanks.

I love to write prayers for people to! What a special gift, homemade, from the heart. I love that I can remember this prayer forever, because you took the time to commit it to paper, well e-paper!

Love,

~A~
