Grati-Saturday you say?
Yes, well this is what happens when you're writing papers for college. You don't always get to blog when you want. Even now, I should be writing a paper about one of Shakespeare's Comedies, rather than grati-tuing (not a really a word, but I'm taking writer's license).
I'm grateful on Saturday, as I've been all week, for the change of season. I LOVE Autumn! I love all that comes with it like needing a jacket then suddenly not, cornstalks, gourds and pumpkins, scarecrows, crisp air, apples, apple cider, and apple cider donuts (yummy), Ghosting (I'll post more later on Ghosting), pumpkin roll, a fire in the fireplace, and my very favorite holiday ever...THANKSGIVING.
Autumn has had a very slow start here in NJ, weather wise. It has cooled a bit, but only one day/night has had the crispness of autumn. I'm fine with that. I like gradual changes in the seasons.
I had planned to decorate for fall last weekend, and in the words of poet Robert Burns "The best-laid plans o' mice an' men Gang aft a-gley." But, I'm good and ready to decorate over the next few days, thanks to my friend Alana who gave me an autumn gift.
Alana's gift was a BOX of unique gourds and pumpkins. They were left from the decorations for our secret sister tea that she caters each year. She always does a wonderful job with hours and hours of labor to decorate, cook, serve and clean. I had such a wonderful time last night at the tea.
Thanks Alana for sharing your talents!
This belated GratiTuesday, on GratiSaturday, I'm grateful to God for fall & friends.

Thanks for being such an "out of the box" thinker, Andrea. I like GratiSaturday...especially since I see that they rhyme "grat and sat". Oh, my, I loved the tea, too...I give a AAA Praise GOD for Alana!
