Just another day in paradise...

Success, Zach and his friend had a great time at the youth retreat last weekend. His friend said "I want to go back for the whole week this summer!" Of course Zach was in his glory. He LOVES camp. Any day is a good day when he can be at camp and fish in the creek.

The dog had to go the vet earlier this week for a boo boo on his leg. I have to give him meds that make him pee the amount of a horse. So we go out A LOT.

We have a leak in the laundry room, and when I pulled the dryer out to see what and where, the vent hose came off the back of dryer. The captain is at sea, so I get to figure it all out alone. My laundry is so far behind because I've been doing my paper and running the boys to their activities. The good news is I've recovered all the socks, coins and underwear from behind the washer and dryer. Oh, and the amount of dust and dog hair back there...well I won't even go there!

Double header tonight for 5 hours, and back again in the am for a double header. My kids are in the family room as I write, playing you guessed it, more baseball with a balloon. I could have pitched a tent in the out field under the stars and they would have had five fields to choose from.

I was up until nearly one am this morning. I put the kids to bed and told Zach I was going to get gas on the parkway. Gas was $3.17 cents a gallon. It only took 45 minutes to wait in line with all the other nuts getting fuel that time of night. NJ put a restiction on the parkway changing their fuel prices more than once a week. They've been cheaper than any place else for 5 days. I rolled in to the gas station on fumes and prayed that I wouldn't have to push the car to the pump.

Thank you Lord, we didn't have homework tonight and that the realtor hasn't called to show the house.

Six more days until I have the time to wash my car and vacuum it. I'll also be able to breathe...at least for three weeks until my British Romantics and quantitative reasoning courses begin.

Ah, just another day in paradise...
