Preacher in the making...

Last Sunday Wesley drew a picture of a cross and some other things. He asked me "where is Jesus?" (referring to the picture) I said "I don't see him." His response was "He's in you." This week he worked up a lesson on this basis. He had 5 questions to ask, and looked up some scriptures. He nagged Chuck to let him teach the lesson to the Junior worship group. Chuck was annoyed at first by his nagging, and then stopped to realize that he shouldn't be squelching the spirit in one of God's own.

Today, Wesley taught the lesson. You know at 10 years old it wasn't the smoothest thing. It needed a bit of help. But, I am as proud as a peacock at his willingness. He's a true example of one following the spirits lead. Could he be a preacher in the making? Only a little boy like David...How many times has God used the lest of these to teach the greatest? Way to go sweet Wesley-- GOD HAS BIG PLANS FOR YOU!

"Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young,
but set an example for the believers in speech, in life,
in love, in faith and in purity." 1 Timothy 4:12

Way to go Wesley!!! Way to go Andrea and Chuck for not quenching his desire to share the Word. Way to go for seeing that until we change and become like a child will we then enter the kingdom of Christ. (Matthew 18:3) Thank you for sharing what the Spirit pressed in Wesley's heart to minister to others. He ministered to me as well! You and your family are such a blessing to us.
