(Clay and Wesley)
Wesley Andrew, who weighed in at a hefty 10lbs 5oz. at birth, was born to us on March 22nd, 1997. I called him Wesley Magoo for about 3 months, because he looked like Mr. Magoo. He was a little old man in a large baby body, and in many ways he still is a little old man but in a small body, he's our runt growing very slowly compared to the giant in our family Zachary who at age 12 wears a men's 12 shoe. Of all our sons Wesley is the one as Beth Moore would say "Could make Dr. James Dobson cry." He brings us the most joy and the most pain. He is by far the most passionate about many things from anger to the poor person standing on the side of the road in the rain, "Mom, shouldn't we give them a ride, or at least give them our umbrella?" He's our risk taker; he always jumps first and counts the cost later. He gives the BEST hugs, makes the best pancakes, and has an infectious laugh, and a great sense of humor, he's a prankster (don't know where that comes from???) He lives on the edge, mostly. He's not self confident, but hides behind arrogance. He's impatient. He's a jock through and through, hockey is his first love, then baseball, basketball, soccer, and football. He will be faithful to death. He's had ONE best friend since he was 5 years old, there's never been another. He wants what we all want out of life: To be loved, and accepted. He's a precious soul. Happy birthday sweet boy! We are so proud of you!

WOW! Happy Birthday Wesley. It's seems like only yesterday when you were born! Now you're a preteen. God has great plans for you. You always reminded me of Peter. He was on fire for every cause he worked for. He sometimes jumped before he realized the consequences, but he always served with a willing, honest, open heart.
Thanks Andrea for sharing this special day on your blog.
Love ya,
Tina
