Happy Saint Patty's Day...

Irish Blessing
May the road rise up to meet you.
May the wind always be at your back.
May the sun shine warm upon your face,
and rains fall soft upon your fields.
And until we meet again,
May God hold you in the palm of His hand.

And may you be in heaven a hour before the devil knows you're dead.

I've heard that line but had forgotten about it. Thanks for making it complete.

Andrea, apparently my memory is getting faulty. Here is the actual poem.

May your glass be ever full.
May the roof over your head be always strong.
And may you be in heaven half an hour
before the devil knows you're dead.

However, it is a drinking toast. So you can ban me from ever commenting again so that your guys won't read it. :-)

I make a habit of drinking everyday! Orange juice at breakfast, water with lunch and iced tea with dinner.

When I was young maybe 3 or 4, I remember my parents having a conversation with friends of theirs about drinking. My parents said "no we don't drink," "others said we do but not around the kids." I was so confused for YEARS as to why my parents would lie and say they didn't drink. I saw them drink daily!!! Juice, water, milk, soda, tea...

You won't be banned from commenting. They've learned worse on the bus ride home from school.
