A for Andrea...

but not just for the first initial of my name. The A is also on a paper that I was sure I'd earn a C on because of my argument.

My first educational career was at a Christian College, Oklahoma Christian back in the 1980's, when I didn't have the confidence to believe I was intelligent enough to graduate from college. I flunked out, more because I wasn't willing to sacrifice and do the homework to the best of my ability. How, I wish I hadn't flunked. There are several reasons but one in particular is that taking classes at a state school you get all the world's interpretations and belief's but sharing a christian view and faith is often discouraged.

My last paper, I couldn't help but argue from a Christian standpoint. This issue stood out to me in the play. I found what I believed was supporting evidence (I didn't believe it would fly with the prof, but whatever), and I argued my point.

When I received the paper on Wednesday, I was giddy with joy. First I only had three errors (I didn't plural a word, I added 'the' in a sentence that didn't need to be there and I used 'for' instead of 'of'.) The profs. comment went something like this "I don't usually like using literature as moral forum. That's not to say that it isn't present. That being said, you supported your argument well, and for that I must give you an A."

Well, slap me on the bottom and call me a newborn. When this man says I HAVE to give you an A, trust me it hurt him. He doesn't dish out A's like ice cream for a banana split. His A dishing is more like a Friendlies happy ending Sunday. He's stingy!!!

The last A I earned in one of his classes was a sophomore class.

A for Andrea, YIPPIE!!!

Tina, you'll be in my prayers. How do you feel now that you are almost done with this semester? Are you ready for another?
