Tonight we went to a Christmas party at a neighbors house. It's only 10 houses away. I know this because Luke didn't want to walk "it's SOOOOOO...far" I said "it's only only 8 houses away." Luke, wanting everything to be EXACT,counted each and every home. I was wrong. What was precious is that he and I walked home at 10pm hand in hand. If you haven't walked hand in hand with a wiggling six year old in a while then you're really missing out. As we walked he looked up at the stars and said "Wow mom there are millions of 'em." I don't remember the others at six years old. I rarely had the chance to pause and soak up their cute ways. Were they all as cute as Luke? I'm sure they were, I'm so sad that I don't remember. I'm sad too because I will forget how cute Luke is at six years of age. He was the perfect date tonight! I enjoyed seeing the stars God made through the eyes of a six year old. Its time to go tuck him in...

Reading your entry brings a song to mind that was used this past Sunday during the sermon. "This little light of mine." The innocence of youth shows us the graciousness of God. May we all find those moments of innocence in our daily walk!! Thanks for sharing yours. How precious to have a walk in the moonlight with one that you love!! Luke's light was shining and you will remember special moments like that, I know, I've been there and it's been many years since ours were six, but I do remember a few special moments. That "10-house walk" will be one of yours :-D
Love you,
Tina
